Following an extensive renovation, The Canal Inn, a grade II listed building, was restored to its form glory in 2022 with the addition of a contemporary extension that now houses our superior suite.

In addition to the superior suite, we also have six cosy bedroom suites each boasting an ensuite, locally sourced furnishings and luxury toiletries.

Freshly cooked breakfasts are available Tuesday-Sunday, with our delicious new Summer menu available in the evenings for you to enjoy.

With lots of countryside to explore, convenient links to Derby and Nottingham and homely and considered decor, The Canal is the perfect place to rest your head, whether you’re travelling for business or leisure.

Check-in from 2pm on day of arrival and check-out is until 11am on the day of departure.
If you wish for an early or late check-in these are available at a small charge and subject to availability.
